Happy Halloween!!

So last night after I got home from Jess, I decided to try on my costume...hahaha...boy was I a sight it was horrible...hahaha but hey it's all for FUN right? And atleast I am dressing up, most people aren't even doing that. So what if it isn't a superb costume it is awesome cause I'm wearing it...hahaha.

I got a quick snapshot of my brother on his way out this morning...haha...his costume is awesome! (He works at the Fenton VG's if you want to go up and see him in person!)

Falling for Fall: Day 26

So today I got to hang with two of my best friends (they just so happen to be married...haha) Pete and I cleaned house all day, while Jess was at work and then once she got home we headed to WALLY-WORLD (aka Walmart) to get stuff for the fun Halloween Bash. As you can see from the above pics, pete (like me) is not a big fan of the big W whereas Jess is in her element. hahaha. I think that is why we all get along so well, Pete and I are so much alike personality wise so we've always gotten along and jess and i are so different that we balance each other out (same goes for her and pete) haha BUT sometimes she has her hands full with the two of us...especially if we are grocery shopping. We turn into two crazy kids...haha. We ended up having to make another stop on the way home at another grocery store and I decided to chill in the car with Deedle...she loves the company and I wanted to take some pics of her cute little face. Although we didn't get to carve our pumpkins, it was a fun-filled evening.

Light Show

So after the cool pics I got the other night...I thought I would see if I could get some more fun ones. This was my favorite from this evening my shutter stayed open for a good 60 seconds so all the different colors represent a different part of the road I was on. Fun Fun Fun!

Falling for Fall: Day 25

I love spotting little secret doors, my imagination goes back to being a kid and wondering all the places it could lead. I think I am going to start a new project at the end of this fall one...something having to do with doorways (hmmmm)
We have these beautiful berries lining our walk into work and every day I think I should take a picture...so today I did. I can't wait until it snows and I can get their vibrant redness surrounded by white.

Falling for Fall: Day 24

Driving home from home groups this evening I wanted to have some fun with the traffic and lights...these are some of my favorites.

I FOUND IT!!!

Daily Jam Session

So, did I tell you I am like a 13yr old girl at heart...haha yes it's true...this weekend I went to High School Mucsical 3 (twice) and I loved every bit of it. I would love life to be played out in song and dance...haha. Anyways, I am totally gonna be listening to this soundtrack all week!

High School Musical 3: I love them All!

(PS I am currently searching for my ipod...it has gone missing)

Falling for Fall: Day 22 and 23

So my day 22 and 23 kind of ran into each other. Saturday I went to my brothers hockey game and then drove with some friends to Grand Rapids for their Blues Gig (we didn't get home till 3am so in my mind it counts as 2) Two awesome adventures...fun fun fun.

Day 22

Day 23

Daily Jam Session

It's Friday! So today I am listing an artist (Ferras) twice because I really like his tunes. He first grabbed my attention with his song "Hollywood is not America" and since I am minus my iPod yet again I am rocking out to some of his other songs on AOL Sessions which is a great way to hear new artists without having to pay the big dollars.

Gavin Rossdale: The Trouble I'm In
Pink: So What
Ferras: Dear God
Landon Pigg: Falling in Love at a Coffe Shop
Ferras: Marshmallow Spaceship

Falling for Fall: Day 22

Good Morning Sun! This morning I woke up to a beautiful pink sunrise...I just had to get a picture of it. I love how every morning and every night the sky is like a completely different painting that God has created just for us. It always captures my attention. If you don't normally notice the sky...tonight just stop for a minute and take it in, you'll get hooked.

Falling for Fall: Day 21

I walk through these trees and by this swing set every other day on my lunch break and on those days I can only graze the surface of my childhood imagination. When I was little these swings would have entertained me for hours and the trees would have captured my attention and my dreams. Every day when I walk through here I try to think like I would if I were 8 again...looking at these simple (yet complex) things with all the possibility and imagination of someone not afraid to attempt the impossible or ask how? why? when? I love my walks on my lunch...I love all the things that come to life when I step out of my daily routine.

Daily Jam Session

So I am still minus my iPod...but I am jammin the way I would if it weren't lying on my floor dead. hahaha. Light and Airy with a little spunk...thats my mood today :)

OAR: Turn this Car Around
Jack Johnson: Sitting Waiting Wishing
James Taylor: Something in the Way She Moves
Jewel: Thump Thump
Copeland: You are my Sunshine

Daily Jam Session

Today, I am minus my iPod. The battery was dead and I completely forgot to charge it last night, but I have used this opportunity to find some new artists that I can love and enjoy. Here are a few newbies for me and a couple oldies that I love!

Alexa Wilkinson: Grey Skies
Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers: Sweet Sophia
Paul Freeman: You and I
Mason Jennings: My Beautiful Lover
Cold Play: Viva La Vida

Falling for Fall: Day 20

This morning I walked outside and was greeted by the crisp air and the first frost of the season. I know I said this before but man does it smell like snow or what?

Daily Jam Session

It's a Tuesday that feels like a Monday, anyone know what I mean? Haha, anyways today I am not sure what my music is...it's what is making me smile at the moment. I hope you check out all these artists, they are great!

Brian McFadden: Like Only a Woman Can
Delta Goodrem: In This Life
Marie Digby: Stupid for You
John McGlaughlin: Human
Sara Bareilles: City

Falling for Fall: Day 19

So today some of my friends and I went to a Gala, it was lots and lots of fun. The food was wonderful, the people were amazing and the dance floor was on fire. hahaha. I didn't get to take that many pics (cause I was getting my dance on) but out of all the ones I took these were my favorites. I know that they aren't perfect but I think that the imperfection is beautiful, I love the movement in them.

Falling for Fall: Day 18

Whenever I see pine trees and pine cones I think of winter. I know this may sound crazy but I totally believe that each season has a smell. Last night I could smell it, winter that is. It was in the air. Crisp, clean and making my breath visible. Soon the trees will be covered in a beautiful blanket of white.

Ladies Night!

So today my friend Tab had a group of us over to watch the movie Waitress, being that the movie was about a woman who makes pies, Tab had each of us bring a pie to pass. I am not much of a baker, so I had sought help from the local super market. hahaha. We had a lot of fun.

Daily Jam Session

Hey Hey Hey it's Friday! At the moment I am chillin-like-a-villain and my music is set to match my mood. Whether it be tunes that are full of sweet harmonies or beautiful instruments, today, I am groovin to some awesome tunes.

A Fine Frenzy: Ashes and Wine
Damien Rice: Volcano
Emerson Hart: If You're Gonna Leave
Tristan Prettyman: Love Love Love
James Morrison: You Give Me Something

Falling for Fall: Day 17

I didn't have my tri-pod on me but I tried to capture the beautiful full moon tonight anyway. This was my best shot. Next time I hope I am better prepared :)

Daily Jam Session

Today I am all about the Country, this morning when I was getting ready for work I had CMT on and it made me want to rock out to some of my favorites. As you can see I have a wide range of music tastes.haha The only thing I really don't listen to is rap (I do like some Eminem though)I just can't get into it, I don't like anything they are saying and there is no way I would want to repeat it myself. But anywho...right now I'm singing "All I want to do-ie-oo-ie-oo is love you"

Keith Urban: Once in a Lifetime
Carrie Underwood: All-American Girl
Lady Antebellum: Love's Lookin Good on You
Rascal Flatts: My Wish
Sugarland: All I want to Do

Who wants to play Tag?

So my friend Tabitha tagged me and that means I get to share 7 random facts about myself...so here goes nothing

1. I want to try something new with my hair but I don't know what to do, the fact that my hair is curly kind of always leads to me pulling back on experimenting. (I've had my fair share of disaster-do's) I am going to color it though and with color I can be as crazy as my heart desires.

2. I want to get my scuba certification. It is one of the goals that is on my "list of things I want to do in my lifetime." The list is long and some of them will take lots of time, but when it comes to scuba diving it's only a couple weeks and then a test and you got your certification, someday soon I will check it off.

3. I want to learn to cook. It's a big project and sometimes I get overwhelmed at the thought of what it takes to learn, I need to start focusing on one meal at a time...you can't be a pro all at once. It helps that I am surrounded by beautiful women who love to cook, some day soon I may join their club.

4. I LOVE COFFEE

5. I love getting in my car and driving no where, with my windows rolled down and my radio blasting. It is one of my favorite past times...that and going to a new city or small town and just walking the streets taking in the new surroundings, finding a cute coffee shop and people watching for hours.

6. Number 5 lead into this one, one of my favorite things to do with my friend erin is grab a cup of coffee and sit on a bench and just watch people for hours. Whenever we get together that is always something that we both enjoy. Whether it is looking at all the different styles of people or just watching how people interact with each other...it can definitely be an evening of entertainment.

7. Like Tab I've always wanted to get my pilot's license (it's another thing on my list) Ever since I was little I would fly with my grandpa in his plane and he would always let me and my brother steer. When he passed away, I wanted to buy his plane...it didn't work out but one day I may own one myself.

So there ya go...7 random things about me that you may not of known before.

Falling for Fall: Day 16

The rain fell today and it made all the colors more vibrant and beautiful. I love when it rains, not only does it cleanse but it nourishes as well. So not only is the bad washed away but life is made stronger. I love to jump in the puddles and slide down slippery hills, sometimes it isn't the most convenient but if you embrace it, it can be great.

Daily Jam Session

I am just in one of those moods...I am a big Disney Channel fan...I love the innocence and the over acting. haha. Today is one of those days where I just want to jump on my bed, dance in front of my mirror, sing into my hair brush and not act my age. This music makes me feel like I can. haha

Jonas Brothers: Love Bug
Mandy Moore: Can't You just Adore Her
High School Musical: Stick to the Status Quo
Jesse McCartney: Leavin
Miley Cyrus: Fly on the Wall

Guilty Pleasures

I love love love coats! I saw this one the other day at the mall but I didn't get it...I am taking a couple days to think on it :) I don't want it to be an impulse buy.

Falling for Fall: Day 15

"Time is a steady flow, and seasons are natures way of letting us know. Today may be coated in the warmth of the suns light but tomorrow could be blanketed in a snowy crystal white. Take in the beauty of each breath, of the ever changing picture that surrounds you. Take in all of your todays and dream of your tomorrows. Like the tide goes out and comes in, today will have its end."

So some of the leaves have been on the ground for a while now and they are beginning to be drained of their color and stiffen. I love all the sounds that leaves can make, whether it be the wind rustling through them when they are fresh on the trees or once they have fallen the crunch that they make under your feet...it is natures music at its best.

Daily Jam Session

This morning a storm was stirring, the sky was dark and the trees were swaying in the wind. A light rain began to fall and the day was set into motion. When it comes to rainy days I always have to listen to Patty Griffin's song Rain, so that was what I jammed to on my way to work. Other than that my ipod's been playing a good mix of music going from upbeat to emotional. I feel that is what this beautiful rainy day calls for.

Jason Mraz: Live High
Stephen Speaks: Passenger Seat
Secondhand Serenade: Your call
Patty Griffin: Rain
Nickel Creek: The Lighthouse's Tale
