i took the bait...and now i'm hooked

What can I say, I was probably the most hesitant person I know when it came to the Twilight series. I've heard so much about it, but really had no draw to it...no desire to even explore the words that swarmed with adventure and romance. I don't know if it was the whole vampire/werewolves thing that turned me off, or the fact that it was the trend (yes i am one of those.) In any case, I went to the movie on monday and needless to say I left completely intrigued. I went and bought the first two books of the set right after the movie. I read Twilight in a day and a half. New Moon was read in one night (starting at 10pm and staying up till 6am.) I was able to by the last two books friday, had Eclipse read by saturday morning and I am now about half way through Breaking Dawn. I am doing my best to pace myself because, it's funny to say, but I am not quite ready for their stories to end.

If you were at all a bit apprehensive of this series, go see the movie...if it intrigues you in the least the books will draw you in and you won't want to stop turning the pages.

i have everything to be thankful for...

I am so thankful for my family they are my favorite people on this earth. I love them all!

it's all in the details

I went with the SonRays (our senior church group) to the Fox Theatre today for the awesome musical White Christmas. The theatre is filled with so much color and detail, there wasn't a moment that I didn't want to take my camera out. I had a lot of fun hanging with all the people and the show was spectacular.

So I am getting my hair done next wednesday and I am still unsure what color I want to go with...the above are some of the ones I like. As you can see I am leaning more toward a red-brown, but I don't know how red I want to go....hmmm decisions decisions. Any suggestions?

So today we got this little snow globe thing in the mail as a promotion, so my friend the office manager and I decided to have a little fun with it. haha. They came out pretty cool if you ask me.

So last night my BFF Jess and I went jean shopping, to find her the perfect pair...this has been our endeavour for the last couple shopping trips, needless to say it has taken more than one. Anyways she was in the dressing room and I decided to play around with the grate on the door. I really loved the texture and depth. haha.

Oh and she found TWO PAIRS that she liked! hahah YEAH!

Friends don't understand why: I'm not married...hahah

Attitude to exercise is: I have recently learned to like exercise! it makes me feel better and I try to do it as often as possible. I've lost 35lbs in the last 6months and have a good bit left to lose :)

Relationship with my body: I love it...it may not be perfect but I am happy with who I am and always striving to be better.

What a day to own a Convertible...

I don't know about you all but the last few days here have been absolutely perfect...weather wise...one of my greatest loves is getting in my car and driving with my windows down. Taking in the smells and cool breeze. Singing at the top of my lungs. I've always wanted a convertible (deep down) I don't think I would ever get one but man sitting in my little spot today I saw more convertibles out than leaves on the ground (hahah ok that is an exaggeration) and man did it make me want one of my own.

Today on my lunch break, I went for a walk and found myself pleasantly surprised by a beautiful canopy of golden hues. I decided to take a sit on the leaf covered grass and take in the vibrant color. Yellow makes me happy.

1. Today was my first time voting in my home state, I loved the whole experience...the getting up early, waiting in line, going into a booth, getting my sticker :) I will remember it forever. hahaha

2. I don't believe in ironing clothes...if I can't throw it in the dryer with a damp cloth, I use my friend Downy Wrinkle Reducer.

3. Like Crystal, I've been growing out my nails and I have an urge to paint them every day. They are the longest they've ever been. (Sadly one of my thumb nails busted off completely...it was nice that it broke evenly but it's way shorter than the others.)

4. I want to be a runner, but I hate to run. I don't exactly know how this works but it's the truth. haha.

5. I want to work with a Ministry or a Non-Profit Organization, using my skills to help spread truth and serve people.

6. I want to take a figure drawing class, but I don't want to draw naked people...haha go figure.

7. I can't stand video games.
