snowed-in

We got enough snow last night that I was told not to come into work. I would say we got over 10inches...so today I went out to take a couple pics of the ever growing white and of my pops. It was fun for the small amount of time I spent in it, but I was glad that there was no where I had to be for the rest of the day. I took advantage of being snowed-in and cuddled up on my couch and had a relaxing day of movie watching with my parents.

the beauty of a quiet afternoon...

I don't know how to explain the feeling I get when I am in the middle of a good book. It's almost anxiousness and excitement all mixed into anticipation for what is to come. In these moments there is nothing like a quiet afternoon that can bring me more joy...today I was more listening to a book than reading but I found the perfect place to engross myself in the adventure that awaited me. haha. An afternoon well spent in my mind :)

This sweet little face has greeted me at the door for the last 15yrs. Always excited, always wanting nothing more than to show me how much she loves me. She has seen me cry, laugh, yell, mope and has not faltered in her love. She has seen me fail and succeed. She has loved me unconditionally since the day we brought her home. She is my baby. How can you not love her lil face (no matter how gray she gets.) If only I would love like her...
