A Horse is a Horse of Course

I made friends with this pretty lady on a drive down the back roads. She really liked the camera, I couldn't keep it away from her for too long. Hence the up close and personal pics :)

Happy Earth Day!

Some Fun Facts:
1.Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to watch a TV for three hours -
it's equivalent to half a gallon of gasoline.
2. Earth Day is a relatively new holiday and was first celebrated on April 22 in 1970.
More than 20 million Americans participated in this first Earth Day celebration.

creating the environmentalism movement.
4. April 22 is the first official day of Spring in the Northern hemisphere and of Fall in

newspapers are recycled.

celebrate Earth Day 2010.
12. Today 32% of our waste is recycled.

today, 34% of all glass containers are recycled.
16. Americans use over 67,000,000 tons of paper each year, or 600 pounds per person.
17. It takes more than 500,000 trees to produce the newspapers Americans read each Sunday,
yet only 30% of all newspapers are recycled.

Sweet Baby

nyc

"Sweet Sweet Baby, its time to close your eyes
and soar of above in the starry skies
I'll hold you until you fall asleep.
Sweet Baby, this life will get you down
your dreams will often hit the ground
but I'll be there to build you up.
Sweet Baby, when you feel no one is there for you
when you question if they care like you do
I'll be there to show you love.
Sweet Baby, you'll climb the hills that seem too steep
you'll conquer your fears and realize your dreams
and I'll be there to cheer you on.
Sweet Sweet Baby, its time to close your eyes
and soar of above in the starry skies
I'll hold you until you fall asleep.
Sleep my sweet."

NYC: The Brooklyn Bridge Adventure

Web Skyline

Of all the times I've been to NYC there were still so many things that I wanted to see. Like the Brooklyn Bridge. So one morning Tab and I decided we were going to make our way there to take some pics before she had to be to work at 1pm. We left our hotel room around 9:30am...we were told to get on the A train, but while we were waiting for the train an announcement came over the PA letting us know that the A train wouldn't be running for a while. So, we made our way back up the stairs to see what our other options were. We had a small run in with a security guard, that started off as a really high intensity reprimand and quickly changed into him giving us directions to the 2 train. We ended up getting to the Brooklyn Bridge Promenade around 11:00am and we were a good ways away from the bridge. Since Tab had to work at 1pm and she still had to get ready and we still had to find our way back, we only spent a good 25min taking pics and then we started our journey back.

It was quite the adventure. I got a few steps closer to the Brooklyn Bridge which in my book is something to celebrate.

Always Remember

Tab and Bray
“If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...I'll always be with you.”
