What makes you happy? I know that is a loaded question and there are about a billion different answers but I encourage you to just take a moment and think about it. What makes you happy? Make it a part of your daily life. Live life happy.

Winter Smiles

We got quite a bit of snow today. I am not the biggest fan of the white stuff, so I decided to remind myself of some of the things that I liked about the cold. That little journey led to me going through some of my Alaska pictures. Alaska was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been and going through the pictures helped me look out my window and see the beauty hidden in the white. I may not like it, but I can see how it transforms our world and makes it something new and fresh, even for just a moment. Here are some of my favorite images from Alaska I do hope to go back one day and fall in love with the cold all over again. For now I will embrace what is outside my window.

Drive-By

There is just something about a good drive. It has the potential to clear your mind, it can give you direction, it can bring release, it holds new adventures and new faces and places to encounter. A good drive can be a new beginning.
I myself have a love for driving, whether the trip be short or long, my car is my secret place. Where I can sing and pray as loud as I want, where I can scream or cry when I am upset or angry; my car lets me get away and be free even if it is just for a moment. A good drive helps me gain perspective and let my emotions out and then settle and compose myself. I get to explore new places or find my way to the familiar. I love a good drive.

Bowling for Missions

Last Tuesday Night our brother, Kyle Blue was hosting a fundraiser for his trip with Lusk World Outreach to Honduras. These are a few snapshots of our night of fellowship. There was fun, music and bowling. All the proceeds went towards his ticket, supplies and food. In Honduras he will be hiking and traveling through the mountains, spreading the gospel in remote villages and towns that may have never heard the good news before. This trip has the potential to impact hundreds and even thousands of lives, if your interested in being a part of his journey please feel free to comment and I will be sure to get you his contact information.

Confession: Feet are usually something that I stray from, to put it plainly they gross me out. But there is just something about baby feet, they are so little and pudgy...absolutely perfect. I just love them. How could you not?

2010 Creative Business Reading List

I am a major fan of Sarah and Chris Rhoads, they are a Seattle based husband and wife photography team. Their photography is truly inspirational, I visit their site and can't help but get drawn into the stories their photos tell. Sarah posted a reading list awhile back and I've decided to take advantage of it. I have a desire to grow in my photography and at the moment I don't have the money to fly out there and have a mentor session so I figure this is the next best thing. One day I will make it out there...I am already saving for it. I am excited to start reading.
