"The Office" Madness - Better late than never!

Hi friends, so I've recently been immersing myself in "the Office." When the show first came out I had no real desire to watch it, there was always something else on or something else to do and it never caught my attention. Recently I was house-sitting for some friends and they had Netflix. Seasons 1 through 5 were in the instant viewing category, never having entire shows at my disposal before I set out to take full advantage. I decided that I would start from the beginning and see if I could figure out what all the fuss was about.

It happened instantly, I fell in love with the crazy cast of absolutely normal but ridiculous characters. There are so many laugh out loud moments, I was literally in tears at times. One of the key things that drew me in was Jim and Pam (yes, I'm a girl relationships get me)....I watched all the way up to the 5th season and was ready to dive into the 6th but it was not yet available. I couldn't believe that I got this far and I wasn't going to see Jim and Pam get married.

So to make a long story short, I finally saw the wedding and it was perfect. Jim's toast at the rehearsal dinner, his pick-up speech/tie slaughter before the ceremony and his plans were so precious. I was left smiling and teary. I know, I know...it is just a show but man those writers know how to tug at my heart strings. Jim was the man, his love for her was so evident it took me back to Casino night when he first told her he was in love with her. Good stuff all around.

I'll leave you with some of my favorite quotes from the episode:

“Four years ago I was just a guy who had a crush on a girl who had a boyfriend. And I had to do the hardest thing I ever had to do, which was just to wait. Don’t get me wrong I flirted with her. Pam, I can now admit in front of friends and family that I do know how to make a photocopy. I didn’t need your help that many times. And do you remember how long it took you to teach me to drive stick? (Pam: Like a year). I’ve been driving stick since high school. For a really long time that’s all I had. Little moments with a girl who saw me as a friend. And a lot of people told me I was crazy to wait this long for a date with a girl who I worked with, but I think, even then I knew, I was waiting for my wife.”

“I bought those boat tickets the day I saw that YouTube video. I knew we’d need a back up plan. The boat was actually Plan C. The church was Plan B. And Plan A was marrying her a long, long time ago. Pretty much the day I met her.”

And some stills that make me smile:

Engaged: Jeremy & Becky

Jeremy & Becky Collage
We at Relish Studios had the awesome opportunity to spend time with this amazing couple and capture their love. The beautiful thing about this engagement shoot was that they were so wrapped up in each other all we had to do was set the stage and they made the special moments happen. We had such a blast hanging with these two and being a part of their love story. We'll be posting their beautiful wedding soon.

For more pics of this gorgeous couple check out my awesome partner in crime, she's got mad skills.

New Ride

Hi All, so sorry for not keeping up with my posts. It has been a busy few weeks, I haven't really been taking too many pics for myself and that was the base of my blog. I am going to do my best to get out there and shoot...keep my eyes open for inspiration.

On another note, above is my new car. It was a big financial step for me. My biggest purchase up to this point was my camera and that took me a good year to work up the nerve to buy. Needless to say, it is still hard for me to breathe sometimes. Haha But, I am happy with my choice and I am selling my old car tonight so that will hopefully help balance things out a bit and get my heart beating in its normal rhythm again. Next big purchase, a house. I've got a ways to go in the saving department, I am sure that step is going to knock me unconscious for a few good days. Something to look forward to. Haha

Hope you are having a great week!

Theme Park or Wilderness?

“One man's wilderness is another man's theme park”
What is somewhere that could be considered a wilderness to some, but is your personal theme park?
I am not sure if a parking garage could ever be considered a wilderness, but I know NYC as a whole could be seen in that light. For me it is an awesome ride to jump on for a short while, but a bit too chaotic for an everyday, for others it is the best ride on earth. Goes back to the old saying 'One man's trash is another man's treasure.' Good Stuff for sure :) Happy Friday!

PARK IT!

Sometimes you just have to step away from the hussle of the day and take in some natural beauty.
