Pucker Up // Pretty in Pink

Going through all of my lip colors this weekend, I decided that over the next couple weeks I am going to feature some of my favorites from each color family. This week I have brought you the pretty pinks. These lovely ladies are perfect for the days when you want to go a little more dramatic on the eyes, but still want some color on your lips.

Maybelline, The Elixir in Petal Plush - A nicely pigmented lip color and shine. This is a perfect my lips, but better shade. It is moisturizing and leaves your lips looking smooth and kissable. I have this formula in a couple other shades and I really like that it is the type of lipstick that has a worry free kind of application. It's so easy, no mirrors necessary. $8.99

Revlon, Super Lustrous Creme Lipstick in Primrose & Revlon, Super Lustrous Shine Lipstick in Pink Cognito - These two beauties have been around for good while but they are just too nice not to share. One of them is a creme and one is a shine. The creme formula is definitely a more saturated color and it has a nice moisturizing quality to it. The Shine formula, is still pretty pigmented and it leaves your lips looking healthy and lush. $6.99

Loreal Paris, Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain in Pink Resistance - This little guy packs a double punch.  It's a stain and a gloss. If I'm being honest, when I first tried it I wasn't thrilled with it. But, after giving it a second shot I have to say I think it's a decent product. You can build up the pigment depending on how much color you want. Just make sure you leave a little time in between coats for the color to set. Because it is a gloss, you are still a little limited. Speaking of the gloss, it isn't too sticky but I could definitely feel a little tackiness. Not enough for me not to use the product though. If you are a fan of lip stains but like the look of gloss, this was made for you. $9.99

Avon Mark, Lipclick in Sweetie Pie - This is a lightweight, full coverage lip color. It is highly pigmented and is best applied in front of a mirror. This is the pinkiest shade out of all of them, I find that it looks great with almost every skin color. Another nice thing about this lipstick is the magnetic case, you don't have to worry about the top coming off in your purse and it getting everywhere, that's definitely a win in my book.  $11

Sonia Kashuk, Velvety Matte Lip Crayon in Pinky Nude - I love a good lip crayon, they seem to last longer and I really love how easy it is to line your lips and then fill them in, an all in one type product. This particular crayon is a matte formula, I really like the look of it but I have to make sure my lips have been prepped for it. (Because my lips are so dry, if I haven't properly scrubbed and moisturized, this particular color will accentuate the cracks.) That being said, it goes on really smooth and feels like you have nothing on.  $7.59

I never liked lipsticks, or colored lip glosses for that matter, but i really want to start wearing more color on my lips... just need to find the right color. I like some of these pinks. I think one of those would be a good start
