Beauty // January Favorites & Haul

Now that we are 6 days into February, I guess its about time for me to share my January Beauty Haul & Favorites. I've discovered a handful of lovely makeup items over the last few months and these are the few that have claimed a proper place in my daily routine.

I know it looks like a lot. I promise I didn't get this all in one shopping trip and on top of that most of it was paid for with Christmas Gift Cards and coupons. Honestly, this is one of my favorite hauls because it didn't cost me hardly anything.

I don't want to ramble on too long, so I will just share a little bit about each item.

The NYX butter glosses are gorgeous, the colors I chose are very close to my lip color. They add a nice shine, while keeping my lips nice and moisturized. I was an instant fan.

I had been hearing about the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder for months and I couldn't wait to get my hands on one. I have to say they are definitely worth all the fuss. I use mine as kind of a setting powder and it leaves my skin looking close to perfect. I don't know how to explain it, you just need to try it yourself. Go to your local Sephora and play with all the different options, find the one that works best for your skin tone.

Josie Maran's 100% Argon Oil can be used on anything; your skin, your hair, your nails. It isn't too heavy, its doesn't sit on top of your skin. It soaks in and adds so much moisture, leaving everything you use it on looking incredibly healthy.

The Too Faced, Natural at Night Eye Shadow Collection has been a staple in my morning routine all month. The colors are all warm and neutral, they compliment my brown eyes nicely. The application is so easy, they blend beautifully and I love the shimmer. I haven't had any issue with creasing or them wearing early in the day. I think this may be my new go-to.

The Nars, Radiant Creamy Concealer is exactly what the name says. It is incredibly creamy and it leaves your skin looking luminous. I use this specifically under my eyes and I feel like it instantly gives me a face lift in the morning. I look 10times more awake after I put it on.

My lips are dry, this is a problem because I love lipstick. I love dark shades of lipstick, peeling and cracking lips make it impossible to wear lipstick. I bought this Elizabeth Arden Lip Protectant because I read it relieves chapping and cracking while moisturizing and softening. I mean, that description is everything I want for my lips. This is one of my newer purchases and it has completely won me over. Honestly I've seen a major improvement, I will definitely continue to use this and hope that it only gets better.

The Milani Baked Blushes have been all the buzz for awhile now, I've put of trying them because they look so shimmery. I am not one for shimmer on my cheeks, but I had a coupon and I decided to give it a try and I have to say I love it. I use it very sparingly but I think it definitely gives my skin a nice glow. Nothing to crazy, just a natural youthful shine. I have only tried one shade so far but I definitely want to get my hands on some of the other ones. The next time I see a coupon, you can bet I will be snatching it up.

I have to say I am absolutely IN LOVE with the Yves Saint Laurent, Touche Eclat Foundation. It is so creamy and light. The formula is amazing, it perfectly blends into my skin leaving it looking natural and flawless. I love they way it makes you have a happy glow.

Maybelline, Volum' Express Falsies is my new drugstore go-to mascara. I love the double brush. I love the how it extends and thickens my lashes while still looking natural, not clumpy. Plus, the little brush is perfect for getting the lower lashes, as well as separating the top lashes. I use the little brush on both and love how it makes my lashes look.

Ok, so the Tarte Amazonia Clay Blush is out of this world. It really does last all day, and I absolutely love the color exposed. It seriously looks like what your cheeks would look like if you were flushed. It is a perfect shade and it blends so lovely. I cannot rave about this product enough. I encourage you to hit up your local Ulta and check out all of the colors they have available. There is something for every kind of look you are going for.

Because I've been wearing a lot more makeup on my eyes these days, and because my eyes tend to not hold makeup for long, I decided to give eye primer a go. I like the urban decay primer the best so far, one of the things that I notice about it that is different is that it is flesh colored and it doesn't leave a filmy residue on your lids. I apply it and then let it sit for a minute before putting on my eye shadow. Once it's ready, all of my shadows are able to blend together perfectly and they have honestly lasted me the longest when I've used this product.

We're getting down to my last two products, both of them eye liner, both of them amazing. The Smashbox Always Sharp Kohl liner in Bare is an instant boost to your look in the morning. I use it on my waterline and like the Nars Concealer it too makes me look 10times more awake. I can't say that it lasts all day on me, but it does last a good long while and I am guessing it would last longer on others. My eyes tend to water a lot, especially in the morning, so liner rarely has a chance to last all day. The second liner I'm loving this month is the Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof liner in Jet Black, I love this product because it is so easy to apply. Honestly the tip on the pencil is tapered and allows you get really close to your last line, it also allows you to easily modify if you want your line thin or thick. For those of us who are liner-challenged, this is our new best friend. On top of all that, it really is waterproof. It lasts all day, no matter how much a touch or rub my eyes, I have to wash it off in the evening. Now that is a product I can get behind.
