natures canvas

There is nothing like stumbling upon an open field. They are always so full of texture and life, truly a solid part of natures canvas.

Falling for Fall: Day 32

So today we got this little snow globe thing in the mail as a promotion, so my friend the office manager and I decided to have a little fun with it. haha. They came out pretty cool if you ask me.

Falling for Fall: Day 31

So last night my BFF Jess and I went jean shopping, to find her the perfect pair...this has been our endeavour for the last couple shopping trips, needless to say it has taken more than one. Anyways she was in the dressing room and I decided to play around with the grate on the door. I really loved the texture and depth. haha.

Oh and she found TWO PAIRS that she liked! hahah YEAH!

Falling for Fall: Day 30

What a day to own a Convertible...

I don't know about you all but the last few days here have been absolutely perfect...weather wise...one of my greatest loves is getting in my car and driving with my windows down. Taking in the smells and cool breeze. Singing at the top of my lungs. I've always wanted a convertible (deep down) I don't think I would ever get one but man sitting in my little spot today I saw more convertibles out than leaves on the ground (hahah ok that is an exaggeration) and man did it make me want one of my own.

the Wind blowing in my hair...oh how I can feel it :)

Falling for Fall: Day 29

A BEAUTIFUL BLANKET OF YELLOW

Today on my lunch break, I went for a walk and found myself pleasantly surprised by a beautiful canopy of golden hues. I decided to take a sit on the leaf covered grass and take in the vibrant color. Yellow makes me happy.

Falling for Fall: Day 29

Waiting in line at the polls this morning, the weather was perfect...and the sunrise was gorgeous, I was able to take a few shots before heading in to cast my vote.
Today is our day to let our voices be heard, don't let it pass you by. Get out there and vote!

Falling for Fall: Day 28

So I went to the mall today with Jess, and in one of the stores they had this cool display of bamboo and lights, I really liked it and decided it was worth a picture. Also, we have this beautiful red bush in our front yard...I just had to share it's vibrant color.

Falling for Fall: Day 27

Halloween Fun!! The party was a hit...everyone came ready to party and hand out candy to all the little kiddies. Jess, Pete and I decided to get into the spirit and dress up...haha good times. Oh and I finally got to gut my pumpkin (along with Jess and Pete's) but we haven't carved em' yet. haha One step at a time!

Falling for Fall: Day 26

So today I got to hang with two of my best friends (they just so happen to be married...haha) Pete and I cleaned house all day, while Jess was at work and then once she got home we headed to WALLY-WORLD (aka Walmart) to get stuff for the fun Halloween Bash. As you can see from the above pics, pete (like me) is not a big fan of the big W whereas Jess is in her element. hahaha. I think that is why we all get along so well, Pete and I are so much alike personality wise so we've always gotten along and jess and i are so different that we balance each other out (same goes for her and pete) haha BUT sometimes she has her hands full with the two of us...especially if we are grocery shopping. We turn into two crazy kids...haha. We ended up having to make another stop on the way home at another grocery store and I decided to chill in the car with Deedle...she loves the company and I wanted to take some pics of her cute little face. Although we didn't get to carve our pumpkins, it was a fun-filled evening.

Falling for Fall: Day 25

I love spotting little secret doors, my imagination goes back to being a kid and wondering all the places it could lead. I think I am going to start a new project at the end of this fall one...something having to do with doorways (hmmmm)
We have these beautiful berries lining our walk into work and every day I think I should take a picture...so today I did. I can't wait until it snows and I can get their vibrant redness surrounded by white.

Falling for Fall: Day 24

Driving home from home groups this evening I wanted to have some fun with the traffic and lights...these are some of my favorites.

Falling for Fall: Day 22 and 23

So my day 22 and 23 kind of ran into each other. Saturday I went to my brothers hockey game and then drove with some friends to Grand Rapids for their Blues Gig (we didn't get home till 3am so in my mind it counts as 2) Two awesome adventures...fun fun fun.

Day 22

Day 23

Falling for Fall: Day 22

Good Morning Sun! This morning I woke up to a beautiful pink sunrise...I just had to get a picture of it. I love how every morning and every night the sky is like a completely different painting that God has created just for us. It always captures my attention. If you don't normally notice the sky...tonight just stop for a minute and take it in, you'll get hooked.

Falling for Fall: Day 21

I walk through these trees and by this swing set every other day on my lunch break and on those days I can only graze the surface of my childhood imagination. When I was little these swings would have entertained me for hours and the trees would have captured my attention and my dreams. Every day when I walk through here I try to think like I would if I were 8 again...looking at these simple (yet complex) things with all the possibility and imagination of someone not afraid to attempt the impossible or ask how? why? when? I love my walks on my lunch...I love all the things that come to life when I step out of my daily routine.

Falling for Fall: Day 20

This morning I walked outside and was greeted by the crisp air and the first frost of the season. I know I said this before but man does it smell like snow or what?
